Ingredients:

  • 1 lb (500 g) boneless Ontario pork loin chops (about 3/4 inch/2cm thick)
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) salt
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) cayenne
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) canola or vegetable oil
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) Italian seasoning
  • 3 tbsp (45 mL) chopped fresh basil

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Pat pork chops with paper towel. Cut pork chops into bite size pieces and toss with salt and cayenne.
  2. In a skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Brown pork chop bites all over for about 5 minutes or until golden. Remove to paper towel lined plate. Reduce heat to medium and add butter.
  3. Stir in garlic and Italian seasoning; cook, stirring for 1 minute. Add pork bites and toss well to coat and cook, stirring about 1 minute or until hint of pink remains. Sprinkle with basil to serve.
