Easy Sausage & Cabbage Skillet Rate this article: 4.8 4305 Print Yield:Serves 4 Prep Time: 15 minutes Cooking Time: 25 minutes Ingredients: 4 Ontario pork sausages 1 small head of cabbage chopped (or 4 cups) 1/2 small onion diced 1 tbsp Olive Oil 1-2 cloves of garlic, minced 1 tsp Dijon mustard (optional) 1 tsp honey (optional) 1 tbsp parsley chopped Salt & pepper Cooking Instructions: Heat a medium-sized skillet or frying pan then add the Ontario pork sausages and cook over medium for 3-5 minutes then turning over for 3-4 additional minutes. Cook until both sides are nicely browned and remove from skillet. In the same pan, pour olive oil and chopped onion and cook for 2 minutes. Add in chopped cabbage. Cook, stirring occasionally as to not burn the cabbage. While cabbage cooks, slice the cooked sausages. Once the cabbage mixture has cooked for about 10 minutes add the sliced sausages along with Dijon mustard, honey, chopped parsley, minced garlic, and salt and pepper. Cook stirring occasionally for 2-5 more minutes until cabbage has wilted and garlic is fragrant. Remove from heat and serve.
