Ontario Pork and Heart and Stroke’s Ride for Heart

Ride for Heart 2015

Ontario Pork is a proud supporter of the Heart and Stroke Foundation and this Sunday, May 31st we will be showing support by participating in The Ride for Heart. This event helps raise money that goes towards preventing heart disease and stroke, saving lives and promoting recovery for survivors, families and caregivers.

Our corporate team is excited to get a good workout in for a good cause. In addition, Ontario Pork will have a booth in Bandshell Park in Toronto, Ontario where we will be exhibiting and participants will be crossing the finish line. Our booth will feature healthy spice blends for you to try out at home, bouncy balls for the kids and lots of healthy recipes! Stop by and visit us for lots of delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner options.

Heart-Healthy Recipe Book

On top of all this excitement, Ontario Pork will be releasing their new Heart-Healthy Recipe Booklet which is co-branded with the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The recipe booklet includes many healthy recipes that you can make at home. Some of the recipes included in the booklet are the Cabbage Roll Casserole and the Kale and Blueberry Rack of Pork. These recipes have been approved by the dietitians at the Foundation and contribute to a healthy, balanced diet, which will help you reduce your chances of developing heart disease and stroke along with other chronic illnesses.

Lastly, if you are a VIP rider you will get to try out our Tex-Mex Pulled Pork in the Better Living Center, make sure to grab a sandwich and refuel after your bike ride. After your snack, make sure to come out and visit us in Bandshell Park!
