Yield: Serves 2
Preparation Time: 5 minutes
Cooking Time: 10 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 bone-in or boneless Ontario pork chops (about 3/4 inch (2 cm) thick)
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) dried thyme
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) salt
  • Pinch pepper
  • 2 tbsp (30 mL) light brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) soy sauce
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp (15 mL) liquid honey
  • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) sriracha

Cooking Instructions:

  1. Pat pork chops dry and sprinkle both sides with thyme, salt and pepper.
  2. Preheat air fryer to 400ºF (200ºC) for 5 minutes.
  3. In a small bowl, whisk together sugar, soy, ginger and garlic powder. Spread onto both sides of chops.
  4. In another small bowl, stir together honey and sriracha; set aside.
  5. Place chops in air fryer and roast for 5 minutes. Turn over and drizzle with honey mixture. Air fry for another 5 minutes or until thermometer reaches 155ºF (68ºC). Serve with any pan juices.

Tip: If using boneless chops, depending on the size you could accommodate 3 chops in the air fryer. Air fryer sizes vary. Do not overcrowd the air fryer for even cooking.

Oven Variation: Place pork chops on a rack in a small baking pan in a 400ºF (200ºC) oven. Roast for about 8 minutes, then turn and roast for about 7 minutes and follow the method above.
